   I have just taken over 2 hours to put this bike together after buying it for my 9 year old sons birthday. The instructions were near enough useless. I have put many flat pack items together and have never struggled but these instructions were not very easy to understand.

   Once it was assembled I was experiencing problems with the front brakes so i took it to my local Halfords. After inspecting the bike they have advised me that the front brake cable needs replacing as it is starting to fray and both wheels are buckled. The rear wheel being quite badly buckled. They have said that they can make the bike safe to use but have advised that i will no doubt start to experience problems with the rear brake pads as they wear down and that the bike should never have been sold in this condition.

   Due to the fact that my sons birthday is in 2 days and that i cannot even bring myself to spend another 2 hours dismantling the bike and send it back, I have felt no choice but to keep it. Whether the bike was damaged via transport or sent out like this is anyones guess. I would say thought that the bike was just in a box. It had no kind of protection inside the box, bubble wrap etc to stop it moving about inside the box so it is very possible that it could have happened in transit. Either way I have a bike which really is not 100% right but i feel forced under the circumstances to keep.

   It is a shame as the bike looks like a really nice bike and is a nice design. Unfortunately the condition it has been sent out in is not as good!
